Tractors are complex machines that require highly trained mechanics to service or repair them properly, while also representing an engineering marvel combining skillful fabrication with pure mechanical functioning. Their designers created stunning and utilitarian designs that inspire all those who see them.
Jon Pfleuger is an energetic teenager who takes great pleasure in drawing green tractors, especially green ones that run on diesel. Three years ago, one of Jon’s tractor drawings was published in Farm Collector Magazine – an online resource dedicated to collecting and restoring old farm equipment – much to his delight as his family subscribed and frequently enjoyed perusing its pages for Jon’s tractor drawings that often appeared within them.
Jon was 12 when he and his father Richard restored a John Deere tractor together for use in tractor pull competitions, earning 10 trophies between them. Since then, they have restored another John Deere which they use across Minnesota in tractor pull events.
Now, Jon is attending PAMS and enjoys drawing tractors in his free time. He hopes to become a farmer one day, and believes his drawings can help him achieve this goal. Jon says that his accomplishment in the magazine and at pulls are equally proudful moments for him.
