John Deere introduced its inaugural Row Crop Tractor, the Model D, in 1885 to compete against Farmall “letter series” tractors and other small tractors of its day. The Model F’s internal assembly features a curved steel back plate containing switches, with its flexible PCB sandwiched between. This PCB features slots designed to slide onto pegs on the back plate; when connected, it conforms perfectly with its curve.
One key difference between this keyboard layout and modern Macs is the lack of dedicated arrow keys. However, this F keyboard had an extended spacebar and control key located beside A instead of Caps Lock for easier computer use. This made using computers more convenient.

The G tractor underwent three distinct design transformations throughout its twelve-year production run. It featured soundproof cab construction made with sound-absorbing foam and sheets of lead under its dash that reduced engine noise and vibrations.
