Unlock the Secrets of the Farmall Cub?

Farmall Cub tractors were an iconic example of farm machines able to do big work despite their modest stature, becoming popular small chore tractors sold under various names and sizes by International Harvester from 1947 until 1964.
IH engineers created the Cub in the years following World War II as a way of replacing horses and mules on small-acreage farms. It resembles a scaled-down version of Farmall A and features Raymond Loewy’s CultiVision concept for providing operators with visibility.
In addition to its appealing appearance, the Cub is also highly durable; many models produced between 1950 and 1970 continue to serve their owners today thanks to their versatility.
As soon as your IH Farmall Cub is manufactured, its serial number plate can help determine its year of manufacture. Located on the front engine near gear housing, the plate’s purpose is to identify which parts fit with it – if there’s any doubt between two years, choose the earlier year as later models would likely contain modernized components not compatible with older Farmalls.
