One of the world’s most beloved investments is vintage tractors. Not only are they highly affordable and satisfying investments, but they are also relatively straightforward to maintain – many people even buy them as hobbies or ways of making extra cash! But for optimal performance, it is vital that proper care and service be administered on these vehicles regularly in order to extend their lifespan and ensure they remain in excellent condition for longer than anticipated.
John and Sue Illingworth created an extraordinary collection of vintage tractors at home in Three Springs, Western Australia, for auction at an upcoming special auction. John shared his passion with Sue for gathering classic machinery; together, they would spend weekends searching out decommissioned machines left lying around barns or fields that needed excavation by hand; some had even become embedded within the earth itself!
The auction will feature over 1,000 vehicles, such as cars, trucks, and tractors, that have either been restored for display and preservation or are still functionally useful today. Some will still be in their original state, while others have been fully restored before being put up for sale at this sale – including Fords and Case David Browns, among many others! It is anticipated that thousands will attend. The Newark Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show is taking place November 4-5 and promises an extraordinary spectacle.
The auction will feature antique tractors as well as an assortment of collectors’ items, such as a 1937 Ford Model T and a 1950 Farmall Cub. Additionally, there will be collectibles and tools, as well as multiple pieces of farm equipment, such as a 1930s steam engine and a 1916 pair of John Fowler plowing engines from this sale.
An East Anglian farmer’s incredible collection of vintage tractors has generated global excitement before this week’s auction sale. Paul Rackham spent 25 years amassing and restoring these machines, with particular attention being paid to acquiring early or rare specimens. The sale could fetch as much as PS2 million.
Over 2,600 classic tractors and motorbikes will be auctioned at Cheffins Vintage Sale 2023; Cheffins boasts that it is one of Europe’s largest sales of this kind. A Roadless Ploughmaster 6/4, estimated to sell between PS35,000-PS40,000, is expected to top the auction block; other high-priced items include the 1919 International Junior and 1920 International Titan.
Mecum Gone Farmin Fall Premier Auction 2021 will feature over 400 vintage tractors, 100 vintage trucks, and 375 Lots of Road Art. Taking place November 11-13 at Bend XPO venue in East Moline, Illinois; viewers who cannot attend in person can stream online from their devices.

At Cheffins Collective Sale No. 4 for 2021 on October 23rd in Sutton near Ely, classic and vintage tractors, cars, motorbikes, and collectors’ items went under the hammer for sale – among them was a Ferguson TE20 fully restored by its owner Colin Taylor to an exceptional standard.
