The Ford 3000 tractor was produced between 1965 and 1975. Powered by both gasoline and diesel engines, each providing 37 HP at its PTO output; all engines feature an oil bath air cleaner with 16.5:1 compression ratios.
This vehicle features a live PTO shaft compatible with various loader attachments, mechanical rear differential lock, power steering, canvas cab and 2.500 PSI of hydraulic pressure and five gallon per minute pump flow rate; open center hydraulics as well as remote valves are installed for smooth operations.
This tractor features a four-speed transmission that allows users to change gears while moving, using an over/under lever located to the left of the shift lever. How the Ford 3000’s Alternator was Restored

I am trying to convert my 1971 Ford 3000 back to a generator system by installing a replacement wire harness with an internal voltage regulator. Can someone give me any guidance as I attempt to connect this alternator and this harness together? While some alternators come equipped with their own regulators, others do not. Furthermore, some wiring harnesses may only have one wire while others may feature multiples; unfortunately, the manual provided with my harness doesn’t give any details regarding this process. Thank you in advance!
For a 2-wire 10SI alternator, the easiest and best method would be to add two new charging wires – previously going to regulator and new sensing wire (black in diagram) between alternator and starter, connecting one at WL (charging wire) to new charging wire and the other one (black sensing wire) at F (starter).
